Detailed Description :1. Lifeguard Shallow:
Shallow water lifeguards will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring the safety of guests in and around the shallower water (any water area, 5 ft or under) areas of the waterpark. In addition,
student will be required to:
-Attend University of Kalahari Lifeguard Training to learn Customer Care skills
-Interact with guests in a friendly and welcoming manner;
-Provide exceptional guest service in order to enhance the guest experience in the water park.
-Provide general assistance to guests, including answering questions about the resort
-Work with fellow team members to provide guests with a fun and safe experience.
-Monitoring the well-being of guests and responding to emergency situations both in and out of a waterpark area.
-Enforcing established rules, complying with regulations, and maintaining professional practices.
-Maintaining a constant alertness to what our hundreds of Guests are doing, preventing accidents and drowning in waterpark areas.
-Throughout their shift, Lifeguards are also expected to play an important role in keeping the resort clean and comfortable.
-All of these important responsibilities must be fulfilled while working outside in the elements – heat, humidity, rain, and wind. Long periods of standing are required.
Varies, may include weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays. Late hours may be expected. 4-7 days per week and work 6-8 hours per day. At times, it may be necessary for a student's schedule to include overtime hours.
Slide Attendants will monitor guests entering and exiting slides and other water attractions, provide first aid, and interact with guests.
Slide Attendants must be able to stand in and out of ankle to knee high water for long periods of time while remaining alert.
This is a physical demanding job that requires someone who is motivated and willing to work hard and provide outstanding Guest
Service. You should be able to work independently and follow directions from your manager.
Housekeepers assist in the cleaning and maintenance of guest rooms and public spaces. This includes making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, folding linens, removing dirty linens and towels from rooms, removing garbage, and assisting with the cleaning other areas of the Resort.
Required Job Training :Shallow guards must swim 100 meters and swim underwater for 10ft (3.05 meters) and retrieve the 10lb brick.
Salary :Lifeguard : $10.50 , Housekeeper $11 (*Rates are subject to change)
Hours :32 hours per week minimum
Extra Hours :$13.50-15.75 - OT is NOT guaranteed (*Rates are subject to change)
Possibiliity of a 2nd Job :Possible
Dress code :Uniform costs: male - $60, female - $58
Waterpark uniform incudes shorts and T-shirts (excludes swim suits). Students will have to have their own footwear.

Housing Deposit Required :Deposit: $200 ($150 refundable, $50 non-refundable admin and cleaning fee) You will also need to be prepared to pay for your first two weeks rent ( $170) and last 2 weeks rent ($170)at time of move in. Total of $540 due at time of move in
