  • Skill Required :

  • Detailed Description :
    Food Team Member : Perform all aspects of customer service to include; friendly interaction, fulfilling shop needs for cleanliness and attention to detail, fulfilling customer orders, maintaining food quality and safety, preparing food, serving food, and handling cash transactions.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Greeting guests and taking guest product orders.
    • Making customers feel welcome and appreciated.
    • Maintaining a themed environment.
    • Preparing/cooking food product.
    • Handling cash/making change and operating Point of Sale registers.
    • Maintaining safe food environment and following safety procedures.
    • Cleaning/bussing tables as assigned.
    • Suggestive selling.
    • Implementing shop closing/cleaning procedures.
    • Maintaining positive, helpful relationships with teammates.

    Attractions Team Member – Area Host :  Help us Creating Memories Worth Repeating® as an Area Host Team Member for Silver Dollar City by helping guests one on one, sweeping debris, and keeping restrooms clean. You will be the first to interact with guests throughout the park and help them with any questions or issues that may come up during the day.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  
    • Toilet and sink cleaning, restroom floor sweeping and mopping, product spill and guest illness cleanups
    • Continually clean path ways, ensuring it is clear from natural debris, trash, and bodily fluids
    • Frequent guest interaction, assisting guests with issues that may arise throughout the day
    • Help transport lost and found items to the stroller booth
    • Ability to be on your feet almost continually, freely bend, stoop, walk up and down the park hills, and be able to lift full trash bag liners (up to 50 pounds) out of park trash barrels on a regular basis
    • Must be team oriented with clear communication skills
    • Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions

    Attractions Team Member – Barnyard : Become a Barnyard Team Member and be a huge part in taking care Silver Dollar City’s beloved animals. You can assist our guests in interacting with the variety of animals (goats, chickens, pigs, rabbits, and more!) that live behind the 1880s Homestead cabin. A Barnyard Team Member will also take care of the animals by feeding them, cleaning their pens, and ensure that all duties assigned are completed.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Work with mules, donkey, miniature horses, goats, cats, Bloodhound dogs, rabbits, chickens, ducks, geese, pigs, and sheep
    • Animal transportation, feeding, animal cleaning, pen/stall cleaning, handling, and displaying animals in a natural 1880’s style environment
    • Stand for prolonged periods of time, walk up and down the hills, uneven terrain, wood chips, and concrete floors
    • Assist with package pick up duties requiring the pushing of loaded two wheel carts around the park up to three times daily
    • Must be team and guest oriented
    • Continuous guest interaction; answer questions, provide information, and share stories about the animals and the Homestead area
    • Work in all weather conditions
    • Keep assigned area clean of trash, natural debris, and bodily fluids
    • Interact with large groups of people

    Ride Operator : From award-winning roller coasters to family rides that soar, whirl and fly, Silver Dollar City offers unique attractions for thrill-seekers of all ages. Ride Operators are the ones responsible for ensuring guests have amazing experiences on them. You’ll meet and greet hundreds of people every day, making sure each of their adventures is as safe as it is exciting. You will check restraints, interact with guests one on one, and ensure that all guests meet the rider requirements. You will have fun serving thousands of guests by safely operating one of our incredible roller coasters, carnival style rides, or water rides in a 1880s themed environment.     Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Properly train to follow all company policies and procedures
    • Ensure guests meet rider requirement of assigned attraction/attractions
    • Remain safe, alert, and attentive to ensure guest safety
    • Physically and visually check restraints systems
    • Manage ride controls to safely load, unload, and dispatch attraction
    • Visually watch attraction for deviations in safety procedures
    • Keep assigned area clean of trash, natural debris, and bodily fluids
    • Climb to heights up to 200ft
    • Stand/walk for long periods of time
    • Interact with large groups of guests
    • Announce through a microphone safety instructions to riders and guests in line
    • Constantly interact with guest in a friendly manner
    • Work in all weather conditions
    • Complete a safety ride through or a visual inspection at any time
    • React calmly and quickly in emergency situations

    - Photographer :  Photographers are members of the Retail team that specialize in the capture and sales of souvenir photographs for the guests of Silver Dollar City. We are looking for outgoing candidates that are able to gather our visitors for photographs.  This position can be fast-paced and high volume but requires a helpful, friendly approach at all times. Help us capture and Create Memories Worth Repeating ® on a daily basis.

    • Proactively greet guests and offer them the opportunity to allow their photo to be taken. Provide them with all information they need to view and purchase their photo(s) at the viewing/point-of-sale location
    • Learn and become proficient with the technology and techniques needed to shoot professional-grade photos.  Accurately uses camera settings for best result.
    • Perform all functions at the photography point of sale including photo recall, edits/enhancements, printing, packaging and sale transaction.
    • Ensure proper handling of customer credit card information in compliance with Property Procedures and Purchasing Card Industry (PCI) standards.
    • Accurately and efficiently conduct all sales transactions. Account for all monies, coupons, passes and vouchers received at the end-of-shift settlement. Proactively up-sell guests where appropriate.
    • Work as a member of a team; within the Merchandise department and the rest of the Silver Dollar City staff.  Effectively communicate to the rest of the team information that is relevant to the shopping experience.
    • Contribute to a work environment that is satisfying, enjoyable and energetic while being able to critically process situations and react quickly while using good judgement.
    • Comply with safety and security directives, policies and procedures.

    - House & Grounds Team Member - Provides Guest Service by cleaning and preparing cabins for guests.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  include the following.  Other duties may be assigned
    • Make beds, change linens, and supply fresh towels.
    • Replenish supplies such as paper towels, toilet tissue, coffee and condiment packets.
    • Move furniture as needed to clean and rearrange room.
    • Clean bathrooms including showers, sinks and toilets,
    • Clean kitchens including cleaning stoves, microwaves, and refrigerators and doing dishes.
    • Vacuums, scrub, mop and polish floors.
    • Clean and dust walls, ceilings, fans, woodwork, decorations and furniture.
    • Wash windows inside and out, clean deck and BBQ grill.
    • Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to disposal area.
    • Replenish bathroom supplies such as toilet tissue, soap, and towels.
    • Replace and clean light bulbs. Clean air conditioner filter.

    There is a $250 security deposit required upon arrival . of which $175.00 is refundable at the completion of program. (*Rate is subject to change)

    Rooms are double occupancy. Each room is furnished with a desk, small fridge, microwave, two beds and a chest of drawers, has a cable TV service and a wireless internet access.
  • Transportation to work :
    Walk to and from work, approximately 1.0 miles along to an employee pick up area on a sidewalk.

    There is a public transportation, which students may use to get to Walmart and town of Reeds Spring, however it runs only once a day. Transportation by Notch Inn owners will be available on a limited basis at the following rates:
    1. Minimum of Five Dollars ($5.00) for a local trip of five miles or less…or Two Dollars ($2.00), Per Person. (*Rate is subject to change)
    2. Minimum of Sixteen Dollars ($16.00) for a trip of five miles to ten miles, such as a trip to White Water…or Four Dollars ($4.00), Per Person. (*Rate is subject to change)
  • Meal benefits Required :
    One free meal per shift is available to food team members.

    Airports: 1. Hollister, MO 2. Springfield 3.St. Louis and 4.Kansas City, MO are the closest airports. Previously, most students chose to fly into a major US City airport, and took Greyhound Bus to Hollister/Branson, MO.
