Housing
Rent is $130 per week/per person and will be payroll deducted. **Rates are subject to change**
Housing Deposit Required
A $500 housing deposit will be required at time of move-in. The housing deposit will be refunded to you, at the end of your program, provided you complete the work dates agreed to in your job offer and do not cause damage to the housing. Participants who leave their jobs early, or are terminated, or who cause damage to the housing are not eligible for a refund of their housing deposit.

Participants must appreciate hard work; enjoy working with and for others; take pride in a job well done; and be committed to providing first-class service to guests.

The work is highly customer oriented. Employees must be willing to do various cleaning jobs and must be willing to work on their feet all day.

This is a very fast paced job and participants need to be able to answer questions quickly and learn the different types of ice cream desserts.

We rely on teamwork, and clear communication, so it’s extremely important that you are able to work well with others.

You must arrive by the date agreed upon at the interview, and listed on your work offer,  and are expected to work until the last day listed on your work offer.

You will be expected to arrive to work on time, every day, and dressed in proper uniform.

Bandanas Mexican Grille has high standards of cleanliness and guest service. You will be expected to make sure you perform your job responsibilities as taught in training and according to company standards.

SECOND JOBS: It is possible for participants to obtain a second job, but the second job must not interfere with the schedule for your job at Bandanas Mexican Grille. Intrax participants are not permitted to begin working at a second job without obtaining approval of the job from Intrax.


Day Dishwasher ($12.00/hr)

Dishwashers  are responsible for set up and breakdown of assigned work station as well as sanitation of immediate work area; lift heavy pots and pans up to 50 lbs.; washing dishes, cleaning the dish area, and assisting in other areas of the restaurant as needed.

This position will be expected to perform cleaning and stocking duties, other side work throughout the shift, as well as each night after closing.


Day Server ($5.13/hr + Tips)

Servers will wait on tables, take food and drink orders, deliver food, deliver drinks, and handle money to check out the customer. Advanced English and excellent communication skills are required.  Participants who have been on program in the U.S. before, or those with extensive server experience and advanced English, preferred.


Dishwasher/Busser ($12.00/hr)

Duties include but are not limited to washing dishes, clearing tables, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning floors, putting away dishes, keeping dining room and kitchen clean as well as closing clean up and side work at the end of the night. Must be able to carry upwards of 50 lbs.

This position will be expected to perform cleaning and stocking duties, other side work throughout the shift, as well as each night after closing.


Host Assistant ($12.00/hr)

The Host will greet guests, manage the wait list for tables on an iPad application, seat guests and will occasionally help with bussing/cleaning tables.  The restaurant gets VERY busy and will often have wait times of one hour for guest to be seated at a table.

The Host will need to be organized and learn how to accurately estimate the wait time, multitask, ensure cleanliness of the dining room and work together with servers and bussers to quickly seat tables.


Line Cook ($13.00/hr)

The Cook is responsible for preparing the kitchen before the start of the shift including prepping food for service each day; and stocking the line, pantries or walk-in refrigerators/freezers. Must be able to work under pressure, stand on your feet for long periods of time, be able to work in hot work environment around the ovens and a cold work environment in the freezers and walk in coolers. Must be able to work quickly and efficiently.

Cooks are responsible for preparing food orders per recipe guidelines. Cooks will be stations at a specific area of the line ( Fryer, Char Grill, Flat top Grill) to prepare dishes assigned to that area. The Cooks will work together to ensure that food qualify is consistent. Cooks are expected to clean all work stations throughout their shift, as well as at the end of the day, which consists of scrubbing equipment, organizing items, sweeping, and mopping the floors. There may be other job duties assigned, that are not listed, at the discretion of the manager/supervisor.

Ability to read and understand orders quickly is required. Previous Restaurant kitchen/cooking experience preferred but not required. Cooks must be able to spends long hours on their feet in a hot kitchen environment. Participants will be working with other employees to prepare orders in an EXTREMELY fast paced and high pressure environment. You will need to be able to communicate with other cooks to accurately time your dishes and ask for help if you need it.


Pantry ($12.00/hr)

Pantry will be responsible for assisting with packaging takeout orders and other various ingredients such as sauces and condiments, making salads, and performing other various duties as assigned.

At the beginning there will be more cross training, in non-busy times, to facilitate efficient use of time as well as determining the best job for an employee based on their skill.  Participants will be doing prep work and other odd jobs, when not busy, including cooking and washing dishes or other cleaning tasks.   There may be other job duties assigned, that are not listed, at the discretion of the manager/supervisor.

The Pantry staff must be able to spend long hours on their feet in a hot kitchen environment. You will need to be able to communicate with employees to accurately perform your tasks and ask for help if you need it.


Prep Cook ($12.00/hr)

The  Prep Cook is responsible for preparing the kitchen before the start of the shift including prepping food for service each day; and stocking the line, pantries or walk-in refrigerators/freezers. Must be able to work under pressure, stand on your feet for long periods of time, be able to work in hot work environment around the ovens and a cold work environment in the freezers and walk in coolers. Must be able to work quickly and efficiently.

Prep Cooks will prepare raw foods for recipes, make recipes, cook foods for menu items and other duties as requested.

At the beginning there will be more cross training, in non-busy times, to facilitate efficient use of time as well as determining the best job for an employee based on their skill.  Participants will be doing prep work and other odd jobs, when not busy, including cooking and washing dishes or other cleaning tasks.   There may be other job duties assigned, that are not listed, at the discretion of the manager/supervisor.

Ability to read and understand recipes quickly is required. Knife use skills and understanding of U.S. Unit Measurements needed.  Previous Restaurant kitchen/cooking experience preferred but not required.
