Job description : MUST be friendly, great attitude, and excellent customer service skills. Must be able and willing to perform ALL duties, including standing up to 8 hours, scooping ice cream, preparing food and drinks, greeting, cashier, cleaning, taking out trash several times daily, mopping floor, bussing tables, pre-packing chocolate, stocking merchandise, lifting heavy cases 10-30lbs/4-13kg and unloading trucks. CHOCOLATIER-STOCKER: Pre-packing
chocolate, stocking merchandise, cleaning projects, lifting heavy cases (fem: 10-35lbs/4-15kg, males: 50-75lbs/22-34kg) and unloading trucks 3 times a week; wear Sundae Suit. RETAIL SALES/GREETER: Great communication/customer service skills and a strong knowledge of chocolate merchandise. FOUNTAIN/BUSSERS: Preparing ice cream sundaes, coffee drinks, cleaning projects, taking out trash, mopping floor, bussing tables. CASHIERS: Great customer service skills; American currency. Employer will assign duties as needed. Must have a strong knowledge of chocolate merchandise and knowledge & handling of US Currency. May be asked to wear the “Sundae Suit”. Must pass a drug test. Please note that 80% of the time you will be working a shift that includes working until closing and working on weekends. You have to be flexible to work the shifts scheduled by Ghirardelli.
Conditions of training : Training is 6 days; must pass certification test for each station.
Details for clothing: You must bring a button down or sleeved white shirt (bussers and fountain employees can
only wear short sleeves), black, loose fitting pants (no jeans). You can buy affordable black pants at Walmart or Ross. Must order work shoes from Shoes for Crews upon arrival through
your employer. Cost to be deducted from first paycheck.. Please refer to the attached pictures to ensure you have the appropriate shirt, pants, shoes, etc. If you do not have the
right apparel, you will not be able to be placed on the work schedule.
Grooming : Hair must be pulled back at all times and clean. No visible tattoos. Ear piercing only, no stretched holes in ears & no more than two piercings per ear. Good hygiene must be
maintained, including daily showering, use of deodorant and laundered, clean, pressed uniforms.
