DetailWait staff
Essential Functions:
- Provide services to guests in a pleasant, efficient, helpful manner during regular dining and/or special events and functions.
- Maintain cleanliness of serving and dining areas to meet or exceed North Carolina Department of Health guidelines.
- Keep the grade A health standards.
- Responsible for preparing dining room and serving areas before and after functions.
- Follow posted duties for specific meals and events.
- Must possess excellent hospitality skills and a strong desire to foster an attitude of exceeding guest expectations.
- Be on time to all work shifts and functions.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures and report any unsafe activities or conditions immediately to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned and required.
- Each dining area is a buffet style restaurant so servers do not take orders, however they provide service to the guests dining at each table.
- The waitstaff will be helping regular dining customers and may also serve in banquet functions.
Housekeeper/ Janitorial
Participants in this role will regularly be scheduled for both Housekeeping and Janitorial duties throughout the summer.
HOUSEKEEPING duties:
- Be on time to all work shifts and functions.
- Clean and maintain furniture, rooms, and guest common areas to departmental and industry standards.
- Keep hallways, elevators, stairways, meeting rooms, and offices clean, including outside areas.
- Assure appropriate appearance of all public areas and private rooms for guest comfort.
- Vacuum and clean all floors and carpets in guest rooms or public areas.
- Dust and polish all furniture, keep windows and doors clean.
- Scrub, disinfect and deodorize bathroom- toilet, shower, sink and floor.
- Strip beds, collect dirty linens, and make beds with fresh linens.
- Fold sheets and towels if needed or required.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures; report any unsafe activities or conditions immediately to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned and required.

JANITORIAL duties:
- These duties are the same as housekeeper but they will also move around campus to provide service in all assigned areas with a focus on PUBLIC AREAS.
- Working in public areas gives high exposure to guests and other employees.
- Work independently at times cleaning common area spaces, and assist housekeepers and the laundry department (limited to 15%) at times too.
- Optional: Perform other duties and responsibilities as offered throughout the property when urgent non recurring needs arise and all available help is requested.
- Participants will be using cleaning chemicals.
- Excellent English required
