Job Description

Server Assistant

Job Summary: The Server Assistant supports servers by ensuring the dining area is clean and prepared for guest service. They assist in delivering food and drinks, setting tables, refilling beverages, and maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant or dining area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist servers by bringing food, beverages, and utensils to tables.
  • Maintain cleanliness of tables and dining areas.
  • Refill water glasses, bread baskets, and condiments.
  • Help with setting up and clearing tables before and after guest meals.
  • Ensure guests have everything they need for a pleasant dining experience.
  • Provide support to other restaurant staff as needed.

Steward

Job Summary: The Steward is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dishwashing areas. They ensure all kitchen equipment is sanitized and assist the culinary team by maintaining a clean work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans.
  • Maintain cleanliness in kitchen areas, including floors, walls, and storage areas.
  • Empty trash and recycling bins.
  • Organize and store kitchen supplies and equipment.
  • Assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation.
  • Operate dishwashing equipment according to safety and operational guidelines.

Groundskeeper

Job Summary: The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the outdoor areas of the property, including landscaping, lawns, gardens, and outdoor spaces. They ensure the grounds are clean, well-maintained, and aesthetically pleasing for guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mow lawns, trim hedges, and maintain flower beds and gardens.
  • Clean outdoor spaces, including pathways, parking lots, and recreational areas.
  • Water plants and trees as needed.
  • Repair outdoor structures, such as fences and benches.
  • Monitor and maintain irrigation systems.
  • Ensure outdoor equipment is in good working condition.

Pool Attendant

Job Summary: The Pool Attendant is responsible for overseeing the safety, cleanliness, and guest experience at the pool area. They monitor pool activities, maintain cleanliness, and ensure the pool environment meets health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor pool area to ensure the safety of guests.
  • Ensure pool cleanliness by removing debris and cleaning poolside areas.
  • Set up lounge chairs, towels, and other poolside amenities for guests.
  • Enforce pool rules and ensure guest compliance with safety standards.
  • Provide excellent guest service by answering questions and addressing guest needs.
  • Report any maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors.

Host

Job Summary: The Host is the first point of contact for guests at a restaurant, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. They manage reservations, greet guests, and direct them to their tables, while maintaining a smooth flow of guests into the dining area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests as they enter the restaurant and seat them promptly.
  • Manage the reservation system and ensure tables are set up appropriately.
  • Answer the phone and take reservations or inquiries.
  • Maintain the flow of guests and ensure minimal wait times.
  • Provide guests with menus and inform them of specials.
  • Ensure that the dining area remains tidy and organized.

Houseperson

Job Summary: The Houseperson assists the housekeeping team by ensuring that guest rooms and public areas are kept clean, organized, and well-stocked. They provide general support to housekeeping staff to ensure a positive guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness of public areas, including hallways, lobbies, and restrooms.
  • Stock linen closets and supply carts with necessary supplies.
  • Assist with the laundry of guest linens and towels.
  • Report maintenance issues to the appropriate department.
  • Help guests with any special requests or needs.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of housekeeping supplies.

Prep Cook

Job Summary: The Prep Cook assists in the kitchen by preparing ingredients and assisting with food preparation under the guidance of chefs and cooks. They ensure the kitchen runs efficiently by helping to prepare ingredients for dishes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Wash, peel, and chop vegetables and fruits.
  • Measure and prepare ingredients according to recipes.
  • Assist with the preparation of sauces, dressings, and side dishes.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils.
  • Organize and store ingredients and prepared foods in the appropriate locations.
  • Follow food safety standards and maintain a clean work environment.
