PM Flex
The PM Flex position reports to the night maintenance manager. Adaptability to changing work conditions is a must. This position will regularly rotate between the role of Runner and Laundry based on resort needs.
◾Runners responsibility is for all of the guests’ requests that are communicated by the front desk after 4PM. They supply the swimming pool and waterpark with clean towels and remove all dirty ones.
◾Laundry attendants are responsible for supplying internal and external customers with the superior service of clean linens. Responsibilities include the daily ops of the laundry including loading washers, unloading dryers, and stocking all linens in an organized and clean environment.
AM Flex
This is a morning flex position with job duties in general cleaner and laundry.
◾Hotel General Cleaner responsibility is to maintain a clean, sanitary, comfortable and tidy environment for our guests. Our resort has 2-3 bedroom condominiums, suites, villas and cabins that require housekeeping duties.
◾Hotel General Cleaner may be asked to help in our laundry department that will require the cleaning (washing and drying) of all hotel linens, replenish supplies and stock of linen through housekeeping closets throughout the hotel.
Park Cleaner
Park cleaners work in the indoor and outdoor theme park (which opens in warmer weather). They speak to guests- answering their questions and clean the park. This is a great job if you want to work on your English! Various other job duties as assigned.
- Sweep up litter throughout the park and parking lots
- Clean and stock public restrooms in park
- Empty trash cans in park
- Keep common areas clean
Houseperson/Houseman
Houseman job duties include cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, bathrooms, work areas, furnishings and carpets. Cleaning rooms includes duties such as changing bed linens and emptying trash as well as vacuuming carpets and dusting furniture. You’ll also replenish guest supplies, such as hand soap and shampoo. Secondary duties may include shoveling snow from walkways, answering guest questions and helping the front desk person. This is a very important job! Students may be placed as room attendants, housepersons, general cleaners, laundry attendants and PM runners.
Housemen clean public areas, rooms, and assist with other aspects of the hotel. Various other job duties as assigned. Housemen do a lot of standing, bending, and lifting.
Ride Attendant
◾Responsible for supervising, monitoring, repairing, and attending to park rides, including boarding and securing passengers, starting rides, and ensuring passengers exit safely.
◾Ride operators work for amusements parks where their main responsibility is the safe operation of a ride or series of rides. They assist guests in operating rides in a safe manner and provide them with training on how to ride safely. They also supervise and monitor rides during the time they are in operation .
◾This is a physical job. You must be able to do the following:
- The ability to stand for long hours at a time
- The ability to kneel, crouch, lift and bend.
- The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations.
- The ability to work in unpredictible weather: rain, wind, cooler and hot temperatures.
- The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day.
