Lifeguard
Lifeguards are responsible for the safety of all guests, the enforcement of rules, park and pool cleanliness, and the efficient operation of all attractions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.
- Perform skills and responsibilities as outlined by the StarGuard Elite Lifeguarding Program.
- Prevent (drowning), recognize (distress), and respond to all aquatic and non-aquatic emergencies.
- Administer appropriate care for respiratory and cardiac emergencies as well as injuries and sudden illnesses.
- Maintain continuous and vigilant coverage of your respective area/zone in accordance with the 30 second standard.
- Participate in the StarGuard Elite and Myrtle Waves lifeguard audit program.
- Attend at least 4 hours of in-service training per month to practice/apply skills and keep your license active.
- Exhibit exceptional customer service skills.
- Protect patrons from injury by enforcing all park and attraction rules.
- Ensure all riders meet minimum height requirements for each attraction.
- Adhere to all operating procedures as outlined by the water park’s standard operating procedures for each position you may be stationed at. This includes, but is not limited to: operating the attraction, immediately addressing any attraction maintenance/safety concerns and/or stopping operation (if necessary), and cleaning the area.
- Maintain an environment that makes the safety of all guests and employees our number one concern.
- Contribute to park clean up and maintenance before, during, and after operating hours.
- Keep the employee break room and other commons areas clean.
- Greet guests, visitors and employees in a friendly and courteous manner and help resolve any complaints and answer questions.
- Follow the rotation schedule in a quick and efficient manner.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules, regulations, standards, guidelines, expectations and requirements.
- Ensure completion of work responsibilities or special projects within the time frame designated by your supervisor.
- Provide feedback, ideas, and suggestions on a timely basis.
Waterpark -Admissions
The position of Admissions/Guest Services Host is responsible for successful operation of greeting guests, sale of park tickets and maintaining accurate records of transactions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet guests, visitors and employees in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Operate the Touch Screen Point of Sale (POS) system for admission fees and/or season passes.
- Understand park tickets and park sales strategy.
- Account for daily receipts and properly secure per Company policies.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of operations receipts and maintain proper security measures over receipts, records and cash.
- Assist in group functions.
- Assist in Cabana sales and maintains they are cleaned daily.
- Answer guests’ questions concerning park.
- Assist with operating turnstiles and enforcing park ticketing rules.
- Adhere to baggage check rules.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Keep a clean orderly work area.
- Provide guests with accurate park information.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules, regulations, standards, guidelines, expectations and requirements.
- Ensure completion of work responsibilities and special projects in accordance with the designated timeframe, as determined by the reporting leader.
- Completes other duties and tasks as assigned by management.
Waterpark-Food & Beverage
The position of Food & Beverage Host is responsible for the successful operation of greeting guests, promoting sale of food & beverages and maintaining accurate records of transactions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet guests, visitors and employees in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Take orders, help fill orders, and check all orders for accuracy.
- Maintain adequate inventory in the food stands.
- Operate the Touch Screen Point of Sale system (POS) for food and beverage purchases.
- Understand park menu and pricing.
- Receiving payment for selected items and return change as necessary.
- Account for daily receipts and properly secure per company policies.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of operations receipts and maintain proper security measures over receipts, records and cash.
- Assist with prep of food orders.
- Assist with delivery of food and beverage orders to guest areas.
- Ensure adequate supply of condiments are available for guests.
- Adhere to DHEC and ServSafe requirements for food preparation and storage of food and supplies.
- Follow proper sanitation standards to keep a clean orderly work area.
- Assist with inventory.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules, regulations, standards, guidelines, expectations and requirements.
- Ensure completion of work responsibilities and special projects in accordance with the designated timeframe, as determined by the reporting leader.
- Provide reporting leader with feedback, ideas and suggestions on a timely consistent basis.
- Completes other duties and tasks as assigned by management.
