Job Description

Kitchen Prep Cook
Kitchen Assistants are required to perform various food and beverage related tasks including:

  • Cook or prepare food items according to procedures or recipes as trained.
  • Place food items on serving plates or dishes along with required condiments and utensils to present to customers.
  • Prepare items quickly and accurately ensuring no waste and in accordance with production and portion requirements
    and quality standards, as trained.
  • Maintain a safe, sanitary work environment.
  • Maintain and clean all Food Service areas according to all County, State, and Federal Health Codes and Sanitation
    procedures as trained.
  • Maintain and clean all preparation tables, equipment, floors, supply areas, refrigerators, and coolers as trained
  • Assist in washing all dirty dishes and equipment.
  • Maintain all necessary food reporting and labeling to ensure product quality.
  • Keep supervisor/manager informed of all supply, food, and product inventory when necessary.
  • Keep supervisor/manager informed of situations relating to facility operation, patron complaints or concerns, accidents,
    emergency situations, damages, and potential safety hazards.

At the beginning of the day, Kitchen Assistants are responsible for getting food preparation areas stocked and set-up. At the end of the day they are responsible for cleaning up food preparation areas and properly storing unused food items.

Retail Sales/Gift Shop
Retail Sales workers actively sell a range of merchandise to guests in a store environment. In this role, participants must:

  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
  • Have an Excellent level of English
  • Be able to answer questions, answer phones, and take proper messages.
  • Have strong communication skills, friendly, and positive attitude.
  • Have high attention to detail with accurate money/cash handling skills.

Dishwasher
Dishwashers are responsible for unloading the dishes and cutlery brought to them by bussers and loading them into dish trays. All dishes as well as trays that hold the dishes are then placed into the commercial washers and blasted with hot soapy water.

The commercial dishwashing machines cannot always accommodate larger pots and pans, so occasionally participants may be required to wash items by hand.

Dishwashers will remove trash and garbage and place in large dumpster, clean and hose out garbage cans. Dishwashers will also help keep the entire kitchen clean, which is a team effort:

  • Sweep and scrub the dish room floors.
  • Wash dishes, trays, pots and pans used in cooking and serving.
  • Make sure food is scraped off of dishes and dish ware by dining room staff when they are brought back to the dish room.
  • Clean coolers, kitchen tables, refrigerators, prep-stations, sinks, and hose dishwasher at end of the night.

Dining Room Assistant
Participants in the role must be attentive to guests and knowledgeable about the property in order to assist the guests. Dining room Assistants take on wide variety of different jobs including:

  • Clear dirty dishes off the tables into proper bins in a three-tiered bus cart and wipe table down.
  • Set tables properly by placing settings in correct arrangement after thorough cleaning, as trained.
  • Sweep floors and pick up any mess on the floor.
  • Stock bus carts with clean dishes.
  • Check bathrooms throughout the day and clean bathrooms (including toilets) in mornings and evenings.
  • Greet customers and help if there are any questions.
  • Seat guests and make sure the tables are properly set and ready for the customer.
  • Change and fill water buckets for wash rags to clean the tables.
  • Bringing dirty dishes and full bus carts back to the dish room in proper order as specified.
  • Help remove garbage and place in large dumpster, clean and hose out garbage cans.
  • Prepare dessert station, stocking beverage cooler, prepare salads and coleslaw, refill condiments and syrup, and prepare drink orders for service.
  • Keep supervisor informed of situations relating to facility operation, patron concerns, accidents, emergencies, damages, and potential safety hazards.

All Food and Beverage employees will be responsible for maintaining and cleaning all Food Service areas including preparation tables, equipment, dishes, floors, supply areas, refrigerators, coolers, sales areas, and customer areas.

Bakery
Bakery staff will be expected to prepare all items necessary in the bakery each day. Participants will not be selling baked good.

General Job Duties:

  • Bakers should be able to lift at least 50 pounds, and be physically fit to stand for at least 7 hours.
  • Bakery employees will be expected to learn and know how to use the imperial measuring system.

Bakery employees are required to perform various food related tasks including:

  • Baking or preparing food items according to procedures or recipes.
  • Preparing items quickly and accurately ensuring no waste and in accordance with production and portion requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.
  • Maintaining and cleaning all Food Service areas according to all county, state, and federal health codes and sanitation procedures including preparation tables, equipment, floors, supply areas, refrigerators, and coolers.
  • At the end of the day, bakery employees are responsible for cleaning up food preparation areas and properly storing unused food items.
  • Keeping supervisor/manager informed of all supply, food, and product inventory when necessary.
  • Keeping supervisor/manager informed of situations relating to facility operation, patron complaints or concerns, accidents, emergency situations, damages, and potential safety hazards.
  • Must be able to work individually or on a team and at a quick pace.
