Housing Deposit Required
$440 due upon arrival ($250 deposit, $95 first week rent and $95 last week of rent). Note: $100 of the deposit is refundable at end of program.

QUARANTINE INFO: 7-10 days free rent during quarantine (depending on length of quarantine) Free food and meals will be in the room upon their arrival.
Quarantine time: 10 days without testing or 7 days with a negative test result administered on day 3-5 after arrival. If testing is unavailable they will need to complete a full 10 day quarantine. If testing is available Wilderness will cover the cost of testing on day 3-5 after their arrival. Roommate requests will only be granted if arriving together and are of the same gender. They will quarantine in a room with one other individual who is arriving in the same 24 hours period.
If they want to arrive up to 12 days early so they can begin their quarantine we can accommodate this request. They will not be able to begin work until AFTER they have completed quarantine.

Arcade Attendant Cashier

Position Description: Assists guests with purchase of access to rides. Acts as cashier — takes money from guests to load $ amounts onto playing card so they can utilize play areas. Gets redemption of points from guests and gives them correct merchandise. Excellent cash/credit handling skills. Excellent communication skills; verbally communicate and tactfully enforce Safety rules. React calmly and quickly in stressful/emergency situations. Physically assist guests throughout the area, as required. Visually observe guest actions to prevent safety hazards. Ensure that each guest receives outstanding customer service by providing a friendly environment. Alert proper personnel when games are in need of repair. Keep ride/attraction area clean. Follow all safety standards to include reporting any violation of standards. Requires regular and predictable attendance. All other duties as assigned by management.

Prep cook

Position Description: As a cook at the Wilderness, participants are responsible for preparing guest and associate food and maintaining kitchen sanitation to Board of Health Standards. Participants will be supervised by the kitchen
manager and/or executive chef. Primary job duties may include:
– Preparing, arranging and continually updating food according to Wilderness at the Smokies recipes, preparations and food presentations.
– Ensuring adherence to Health Department policies and procedures.
– Cleaning and maintaining the kitchen as directed by management, in conjunction with Health Department
policies and procedures.                                                                            – Reporting and documenting any observed or known safety hazards, conditions, or unsafe practices and procedures to management immediately.
– Adhering to Wilderness at the Smokies standards for guest services.
– Referring guest problems or complaints to Supervisor.
– Performing all other duties as assigned by management.
To perform this job successfully, participants must be able to perform each of the above duties satisfactorily and must;
– Have an aptitude for guest service and take pride in Wilderness standards of excellence in food preparation and cleanliness.

Room Attendant

Position Description: As a housekeeper at Wilderness at the Smokies, participants are responsible for cleaning guest rooms and property common areas to the resort’s high standards. The accommodations that participants will be primarily cleaning are hotel rooms and villas that sleep from 1 to as many as 17 people. Rooms range from having 2 single beds to a combination of single beds, bunk beds, or murphy (drop-down) beds. Many of the rooms have partial or full kitchens, bathrooms, and furnished living areas, which the participants will be responsible for cleaning.

Soaky Park Service

Position Description: 

– Pressure wash all waterpark floors.
– Perform all pre-operational duties of the waterpark prior to opening.
– Clean waterpark drains.
– Vacuum pools and remove pool covers as needed seasonally.
– Fill and distribute watercoolers to waterparks.
– Water plants within the waterpark.
– Pressure wash & clean trash cans and trash can liners                  – Maintain park image of cleanliness throughout shift by sweeping, bussing tables, changing trash cans, and picking up debris as needed.
– Clean waterpark restrooms hourly. Ensure all paper products are stocked, area is swept, and restrooms are presentable for guests.
– Assist Aquatics Maintenance with inflating rafts/tubes as needed.
– Utilize proper safety equipment while using chemicals and mechanical equipment.
– Maintains clean and safe work environment.
– Able to work independently with little to no supervision.
– Greet guests and dispatch slides and rides as an attendant in position as needed.
