Dormitory housing is provided to employees. Sheets and towels are provided by your employer. All students must share a room with a roommate. 3 meals per day are provided in the employee lounge.
Rooms are a minimum of double occupancy and may accommodate up to four people total. No single rooms are available. Rooms come with limited storage space so employees are advised to keep their personal effects to a minimum. Rooms are inspected on a regular basis for cleanliness and possible health/safety violations. Quiet hours are observed strictly from 11:00pm-7:30am daily (hours subject to variation).
All rooms are heated but do not come with air conditioning. Rooms are equipped with TV but not equipped with phones. Complimentary laundry facilities are available in each building, including laundry soap. Each building also has a central recreation room with television, meeting space, pool tables, foose ball, movie room, book library, scheduled activities, including trips to Fairbanks and employee tour opportunities.
A weekly shuttle is offered to Fairbanks beginning in June. A small grocery store, bank and gas station is located near employee housing.

The “land” portion of our cruise tours include the state’s most popular areas such as Anchorage Denali National Park Copper River the Kenai Peninsula and Prudhoe Bay.
Princess Tours also owns and operates five wilderness lodge properties and several luxury rail cars known as Princess Rail.

Dishwasher
Pay rate: $15.00 per hour
Able to stand on feet for 8 hour shifts. Able to lift at least 50 pounds. Ability to carry and move large amounts of dishes glassware silverware pots pans. Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently and appropriately.
Requirements:
- Sets up and breaks down dish machine. Cleans and polishes machine thoroughly and checks to see it is operating correctly. Washes and stores all dishes trays utensils cups and equipment used. Checks water temperature to ensure proper temperature. Removes trash from kitchen area and cleans and sanitizes garbage cans. Keeps dish area neat and clean including belt line from dining area. Keeps all equipment clean sanitized polished and properly stored. May also monitor/clean the team dining room and set up and break down team dinning buffet lines.

Grooming:
- High standards of grooming and personal hygiene should be observed at all times while at work and on hotel property. Women are allowed one earring in each ear with no more than a one inch dangle. Men are not allowed to wear earrings. Men’s hair must be above the collar and facial hair in the form of a trim beard or mustache is only acceptable if approved at time of hire. Only conservative hair colors and styles are permitted. No watches rings or excessive jewelry will be permitted.

Denali National Park Area (Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge)
- Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge is located near the entrance to Denali National Park on the George Parks Highway. Endless opportunities for hiking and backpacking are right outside your door. Hop on the park shuttle to take you deep into the national park with hopes of glimpsing Mt. McKinley North America’s highest peak at 20 320 feet. The lodge is situated on a bluff overlooking the Nenana River a popular destination for white-water rafters. Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge is located approximately two hours south of Fairbanks and four hours north of Anchorage.
Pay Notes:
- Students will be paid every 2 weeks. There is an end of season monetary bonus for employees who have completed their employment contract. The bonus is 5% of your total wages earned. The bonus is paid in November.
Second job notes:
- You will be in a high tourism area. If you are able to secure a second job please remember that your first priority is your job with Princess.

Typical Schedule:
6 days a week, 8 hour daily shifts (either breakfast/lunch or dinner periods). Some overtime may be required.
At least 32 hours a week over the course of your program. Hours dependent on business levels.
