Housing InformationHousing : Dormitory 2515 Tunnel Rd, Estes Park, CO 80511
Housing is provided in on-site dormitories. Participants will share a room with 2-3 roommates and have their own bed. Communal bathrooms and showers are shared. YMCA provides sheets, blankets, pillows, pillowcases, towels, and washcloths at no cost. Linens must be returned at the end of the program. Participants are expected to keep rooms clean and dispose of trash properly. Room inspections may occur with or without notice. The YMCA of the Rockies enforces a zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy. Although marijuana is decriminalized in Colorado, it is illegal under federal law. Drug/alcohol testing may occur at random or under reasonable suspicion and can result in immediate termination. Seasonal staff may not drink or store alcohol on YMCA property, including in staff housing.

The housekeeper is responsible for ensuring that assigned cabins and lodge rooms are cleaned by guest check-in time and meeting the expectations of supervisors and guests. The housekeeper will also assist with Laundry and Janitorial duties as needed. Most scheduled hours per week will not be spent on laundry duty.
Housekeeping Essential Functions / Requirements:
– Clean cabins and lodge rooms
– Clean lobbies and public areas
– Work on a crew with 3-5 coworkers
– Efficiently clean guest accommodations, including the following tasks: clean fireplaces, vacuum and dust, strip linens and make beds, wash windows, clean toilets, sinks, and showers, empty trash, mop and sweep floors, and clean ovens, etc.
– Work with various types of cleaning chemicals
– Complete maid service in required rooms
– Lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Laundry Attendant Essential Functions / Requirements:
– Sort, fold, shrink-wrap, and stack laundry
– Load and empty washers and dryers
– Operate washers and driers at proper time, temperature, and cycle settings
– Serve customers at the linen exchange door
– Follow safe practices while handling chemicals, biohazards, and machinery
– Move, replace, and connect laundry chemical drums using a wheel dolly
– Maintain and repair window coverings in guest accommodations as needed
– Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Janitorial Essential Functions / Requirements:
– Delivery of Guest Amenities
– Clean lobbies and public areas
– Clean indoor and outdoor entryways
– Clean carpets and hard surface flooring
– Work on a crew with 3 to 5 coworkers
– Work with various types of cleaning chemicals
– Lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Long black pants and non-skid black shoes are required while working in the Food Service Department. Uniform shirts are provided at no cost and participants need to arrive with black pants and black shoes.
