Housing InformationHousing: 1101 COUNTY ROAD 53 GRANBY, CO 80446 (Dormitory)
Housing is provided in on-site dormitories. Participants will share a room with 2-3 roommates and have their own bed. Communal bathrooms and showers are shared. YMCA provides sheets, blankets, pillows, pillowcases, towels, and washcloths at no cost. Linens must be returned at the end of the program. Participants are expected to keep rooms clean and dispose of trash properly. Room inspections may occur with or without notice. The YMCA of the Rockies enforces a zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy. Although marijuana is decriminalized in Colorado, it is illegal under federal law. Drug/alcohol testing may occur at random or under reasonable suspicion and can result in immediate termination. Seasonal staff may not drink or store alcohol on YMCA property, including in staff housing.

Job Description:
- Assisting with meal preparation for YMCA guests
- Serving meals
- Washing dishes
- Cleaning kitchen and dining rooms
- Keeping meal service lines clean and fully stocked with food and supplies (plates, cups, etc.)
- Cleaning restrooms, including toilets
Other Functions / Requirements:
- Check and sell meal guest tickets at the “check stand”
- Operate cash register and balance cash box
- All other duties as assigned
* Participants will be assigned to handle and serve pork products.
* Participants will be using cleaning chemicals.
* Participants must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
* Food service workers also are usually involved in customer service to some extent and may also perform some cashier duties. Therefore, participants must have good English communication skills, excellent customer service skills, good math skills, and should be familiar with U.S. currency.
* During employment, participants are expected to meet certain standards of performance and conduct themselves as explained in the seasonal handbook.

Participants in this position will be working at either Schlessman Commons dining hall or the
Buckboard Cafe.
Dress Code: Long black pants and non-skid black shoes are required while working in the Housekeeping Department. Uniform shirts are provided at no cost and participants need to arrive with black pants and black shoes. All employees are required to wear their name badge while on duty or while eating in the employee dining room.

Housekeeping Staff (Good English) Cleaning guest cabins, lodge rooms & lobby areas. Stripping bed linens, making beds, cleaning toilets, sinks, showers, vacuuming carpets, dusting furniture, washing windows, emptying trash, sweeping & mopping floors, cleaning refrigerators and ovens and fireplaces. Laundry- working in the commercial laundry.
