Housekeeper

Housekeepers clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, toilets, corridors, elevators,
stairways, locker rooms and other work areas so that health standards are met.

Participants are cleaning guest rooms including making beds, cleaning bathrooms/toilets, vacuuming and a variety of duties that could also include:

• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers.
• Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.
• Sweep, scrub floors, using brooms, mops, and/or powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
• Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
• Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom items.
• Must be responsible and have attention to detail.
• Participants use cleaning chemicals.
• Laundry is not typically part of the duties, however, if needed it would not include more than 15% of participants’ time working.

Rooms will have a mix of queen or king-sized beds, and are standard hotel room size. The
expectation is that the rooms will typically take 20-25 minutes to clean.
