Food Runner

A Food Runner at Black Desert Resort plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient dining experience for our guests. This position reports to the Restaurant Manager and is responsible for delivering food from the kitchen to the dining room promptly and accurately, ensuring that all orders are served to the correct guests and presented to the highest standards.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Deliver food orders from the kitchen to the dining room quickly and efficiently, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
– Assist servers by providing support during busy periods, including taking drink orders, clearing tables, and resetting them.
– Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure a seamless dining experience.
– Ensure all dishes are delivered to guests promptly and in accordance with the restaurant􀂶s service standards.
– Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining and kitchen areas.
– Assist with the setup and breakdown of dining areas before and after service.
– Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies.
– Address guest requests and inquiries courteously and promptly.
– Provide a high level of customer service, ensuring guest satisfaction.
– Assist with stocking and replenishing supplies as needed.
– Other job duties as assigned and in accordance with business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
– Previous experience in a similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.
– Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in order delivery.
– Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
– Good communication and teamwork skills.
– Friendly and approachable demeanor with a passion for providing excellent customer service.
– Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
– Willingness to follow instructions and take on new challenges.

The host will train staff on position expectations and standards.

Typical shifts for this position are from 6am to 3pm or 3pm to 10pm, but hours may vary.

This position is eligible for tips. Last year, employees who performed to the expectations of this position earned an average of $7-12 per hour in tips above the hourly wage. Tips can vary from day-to-day based on business volume and individual performance. Tips are at the discretion of the guest and are not guaranteed.

Participants will use cleaning chemicals in this position.
Participants will handle pork products in this position.
English skills required for this position: EXCELLENT to FLUENT.

Uniform : Most of your uniform will be provided by Black Desert Resort. This may include key items such as shirts, pants, blazers, aprons, and any specific items required for your role. Manager will email you what you need to buy before you start your job.

Participants will need to provide some items, including but not limited to appropriate footwear, such as black closed-toe, non-slip shoes for Food and Beverage staff.”
