Cedar Point operates on weekends during the months of May and September. Associates can expect to work 3-4 days a week during these months, but can expect 5 days of work during peak Summer months of June through August.
In April, participants will be focused on training and working to set up the park. In September and October, the park operates primarily on weekends and participants will work 3-4 days a week.
Participants may be scheduled while the park is not open and assigned in different locations or roles outside of their usual assignment. This may include general cleanliness tasks, or event preparation. Scheduled hours may be changed when operations are impacted by weather. Shifts can start as early as 8am and end as late as 2am. Associates will rotate between opening and closing shifts.
Working weekends and Holidays is required. During non-peak months associates may work less than 32 hours, however additional hours will be scheduled in following weeks to make up the difference.

Positions :
Lifeguard
Lifeguards are responsible for guarding swimmers and for the safe and efficient operations in our waterpark. Associate will need basic swimming skills but all other training will be provided by Cedar Point.
This position includes enforcing rules, giving information and answering questions, watching the pools and water slides to make sure that all guests are safe, performing life-saving techniques when needed as described and practiced in lifeguard certification training. Participants may also perform other job duties as assigned and in accordance with business needs.
Excellent swimming skills required. Previous Lifeguard experience preferred.
Must be willing to work weekends and holidays. Seasonality and business needs dictate
schedule and hours worked. May require outdoor work in all weather conditions and have exposure to direct sunlight and heat for long periods of time. The climate in Sandusky is usually cool in spring and hot in the summer. Throughout September the temperature will get gradually cooler.
Cedar Point will train Lifeguards on position expectations and standards.
Participants may use cleaning or pool chemicals in this position.
