JOB DESCRIPTION

Room Attendant 

A Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining clean, sanitary, comfortable, and attractive guest rooms while providing friendly and efficient service to resort guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and reset guest rooms and suites according to resort standards.
• Change bed linens and make beds.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, and other areas of the guest room.
• Vacuum carpets and floors, dust furniture, and clean surfaces.
• Remove used towels, linens, and trash from guest rooms.
• Replenish towels, toiletries, tissues, and other guest amenities.
• Prepare and stock the housekeeping cart with linens, cleaning supplies, and guest supplies before starting the shift.
• Keep housekeeping carts and storage areas clean and organized.
• Report missing or damaged items, such as hair dryers, coffee makers, irons, or other room equipment, to the supervisor.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and cleaning procedures.
• Assist with cleaning other areas of the resort when needed.
• Provide friendly and courteous service when interacting with guests.

Physical Requirements: This is a physically active position. Room Attendants should be comfortable standing for most or all of the shift, bending, lifting, pushing a housekeeping cart, and performing repetitive cleaning tasks. Kalahari’s Pocono Manor posting states that employees may occasionally need to exert up to 50 lbs of force.
