Free meals

Any time the dining facilities are serving, participants will have access to eat meals onsite at no additional charge. Meals are included in room and board of $84/week. Participants can also elect to purchase their own food and prepare their meals as needed/desired in their housing. No alteration is given to Room & Board if participants do not choose to eat in the dining room.

Housing Deposit Required
While there is no deposit, a housing fee of $200 will be deducted from final paycheck for any one of the following reasons if participants: -Leave earlier than or do not work through the agreed program dates on their DS2019. This applies if they voluntarily or involuntarily terminate their job. Participants cannot ask to take their last days off. -Don't follow the departure cleaning and checkout guidelines. -Fail to clean their room and other living space regularly. -Fail to return ALL room keys, ALL uniforms, AND name tag. -Leave without scheduling a departure checkout with the HR Director, or a designee. This MUST be scheduled at least 7 days prior to their departure. The checkout date must be the participant's last program date or within a few days after.

Job Description:

Dishwasher

  • Must possess excellent hospitality skills and a strong desire to foster an attitude of guest expectations.
  • Responsible for keeping all dishes cleaned and stored back in their proper places.
  • Clean and sanitize all cooking utensils.
  • Keep dishwasher clean and the dish area organized.

Waitstaff

  • Provide services to guests in a pleasant, efficient, helpful manner during regular dining and/or special events
  • Maintain cleanliness of serving and dining areas to meet/exceed North Carolina Dept of Health guidelines.
  • Must possess excellent hospitality skills and a strong desire to foster an attitude of guest expectations.

Kitchen Assistant

  • Assist with preparing meals, using standard approved menus in sufficient quantity and quality, when requested
  • Operate all equipment necessary for food preparation including convection ovens, stove, meat slicer, chopper, knives, steamers, steam kettles and skillets
  • Work effectively and efficiently to reduce product loss due to waste

Assistant Cook

  • Must know and practice proper food handling methods to meet or exceed the North Carolina Dept of Health compliant standards
  • Prepare meals, utilizing standard approved menus and recipes
  • Prepare meals meeting quantity needs while maintaining excellent food and presentation quality
