Work opportunities will include a variety of positions to include job opportunities in Ride Operations, Merchandising, Food Service, Ticket Selling, Guest Relations, Lifeguard and more. Hourly pay rates will vary by position.

Students considering a J-1 Work and Travel work experience at SeaWorld Orlando must be fluent in English, both oral and written skills.

Every attempt is made to place employees in their first job choice. Although you may be hired for a specific position, it may become necessary to place you in your second job choice at SeaWorld Orlando after you have been hired.

Your job choices will be discussed with you during the interview. If you are hired for your first job choice, but it is determined that you must be placed in your second job choice at SeaWorld Orlando, you will be notified of the job change.

Position Description:

Food & Beverage Ambassador

As a Food Service Ambassador, you’ll ensure a great eating experience for our guests in a variety of venues, including restaurants, carts/kiosks, specialty snack carts, coffee shops, dessert stations, etc.

Wherever you serve, you will:

  •  Enthusiastically greet and welcome guests
  • Provide information to guests on food & beverage products being offered
  • Make recommendations to fit each guest’s needs
  • Support dietary restrictions, allergies and special needs
  • Take orders in a prompt manner and ensure execution of delivery
  • Maintain a clean working environment
  • Operate cash register
  • Maintain monies and sales information for audit and balance
  • Follow proper cash handling procedures
  • Prepare/carry vending trays

What it takes to succeed:

  • Commitment to exceptional guest service
  • Ability to learn/use point of sale (cash register) systems
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities
  • Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to walk and stand extensively
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors, in a variety of weather conditions
  • Completion of all training, including ServSafe and RCS Responsible
  • Vendor Training
  • Flexibility in working varied shifts
  • Previous cash handling experience preferred
  • Food service and/or theme park experience highly desirable

Prep Cook

As a Prep Cook, you’ll play a key role in the preparation of our high-quality food. As you’re helping to get our delicious food ready, you’ll follow all safety and HACCP guidelines, use proper protective gear, and ensure that food is prepared to the proper temperature. You will also:

  • Cook high-quality food to menu specifications
  • Utilize automated kitchen equipment, including French fry fryer, conveyor automatic broiler, flat top grill, etc.
  • Prep food using basic kitchen equipment, such as tilt skillet, small mixer, convection oven, etc.
  • Complete food prep by cutting and chopping of vegetables, fruits and meats
  • Assemble wraps, sandwiches, salads, fruit cups, etc.
  • Keep all assigned areas clean and sanitary
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What it takes to succeed:

  • Preferred back-of-house cooking experience or ability to learn and develop
  • Ability to understand and follow all recipes
  • Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time in extreme weather conditions
  • Flexibility to work a schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Strong multi-tasking and teamwork abilities
  • Positive attitude to ensure excellent guest service
  • Preferred experience in a high-volume food operation.

Guest Arrival Ambassador

As a Guest Arrival Ambassador, you’ll provide the highest level of guest service and satisfaction. Your positive attitude and can-do spirit will make all the difference as you help create positive, lasting memories for our guests. You will:

  • Greet and interact with guests through their arrival and departure
  • Answer questions and resolve guest issues
  • Advise guests on show times and attraction information
  • Facilitate an organized guest traffic flow
  • Maintain cleanliness of all assigned areas
  • Sell admission and in-park ancillary products to upgrade our guests experience
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What it takes to succeed:

  • Strong English language communication skills
  • Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations
  • Excellent multi-tasking abilities
  • Ability to train on and properly use protective equipment
  • Ability to stand for entire shift
  • Ability to push/pull up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to accurately handle cash and learn/use point of sale system
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Previous guest service experience preferred
  • Basic math skills desired

Ride Operator

As a Ride Operator, you’ll provide exceptional guest service while delivering the thrills and excitement we’re known around the world for. You will ensure excellent guest service by responding to and exceeding their requirements, expectations and needs. In all you do, you will consistently practice safe work habits, including the use of personal protection equipment (PPE). You will also:

  • Monitor rides, following all safety regulations
  • Test equipment before opening ride
  • Ensure guests meet ride admission requirements
  • Assist in loading and unloading guests from ride
  • Maintain area cleanliness
  • Maintain guest safety
  • Answer guest questions and advise them on show times and park attractions
  • Maintain a professional appearance
  • Report unsafe situations
