JOB DESCRIPTIONS: HOTEL HERSHEY KITCHEN CLEANER/DISHWASHER
This job is responsible for maintaining cleanliness of all food service areas in the HOTEL HERSHEY.

JOB DUTIES:
– Responsible for maintaining sanitation and cleanliness of all food service areas and equipment, including cleaning of food service kitchens and storeroom and locker areas
– Assisting with food preparation whenever needed
– Cleaning, washing and storing all eating and drinking utensils, pots, pans, and other related items; cleaning all kitchen surfaces (floors, walls, ceilings, etc.)
– Maintaining clean dishwasher and dishwashing areas; cleaning out the dish machine after every meal
– Stocking all service areas within the kitchen with glassware, silver, china, etc.; emptying and scrubbing garbage containers when necessary
– Keeping garbage compactor area clean and neat; cleaning hood areas and screens above cooking areas, under the supervision of the Food Service Supervisor or Lead Persons.
– Other job duties as assigned and in accordance with business needs

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
– Friendliness and well-groomed appearance a definite plus.
– Must be able to do physical work, and able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.

– Must be able to work in extreme temperatures.
– Shifts may vary between, 3:30pm – 12 am, or 4:30pm – 1am.
– Proper footwear must be provided by employee.
– This is a union position and the work schedule will be based on union seniority. Candidates must be able to meet scheduled requirements, which will most likely require evening and weekend hours.

– Participants receive a $75.00 per week meal allowance (excluding final working paycheck)
– Participants are eligible to earn a $250 end-of-season bonus. To qualify, participants must work through their assigned DS-2019 end date, have satisfactory job
performance and attendance record, and have paid housing fees in full.
– HE&R will set up Social Security appointments after participant arrives. These may be on-site or at the local Social Security Administration office. HE&R will provide transportation to the scheduled appointment.
