Housekeeper – Job Description

A Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in hotel and motel guest rooms and other assigned properties. The position helps ensure that rooms are clean, comfortable, and ready for arriving guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general cleaning and sanitizing throughout assigned guest rooms and properties.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms according to proper sanitation procedures.
• Dust and wipe surfaces, furniture, and other areas in guest rooms.
• Clean mirrors and other glass surfaces.
• Vacuum and clean floors, rugs, furniture, and drapes.
• Remove used bed linens, towels, bedspreads, and blankets after guests check out.
• Make beds with clean sheets and blankets and replace pillowcases.
• Restock towels, washcloths, hand towels, and other necessary room supplies.
• Empty trash containers and maintain overall room cleanliness.
• Use and maintain a housekeeping cart to transport cleaning supplies.
• Follow proper procedures when using cleaning chemicals.
• Assist with laundry duties when scheduled, including handling and folding linens and towels.
• Assist with seasonal cleaning of TRMF hotel, motel, and housing properties.
• Perform other housekeeping duties and side work as assigned.

Physical Requirements: The job involves a lot of standing, walking, bending, pushing and pulling, as well as repetitive use of the hands and arms. TRMF’s current posting also states that employees should be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs regularly, and be physically capable of lifting 50-lb laundry bags.

Kitchen Crew – Job Description

A Kitchen Crew member is responsible for assisting with food preparation, cooking, and daily kitchen operations. This position works as part of the food service team to ensure meals are prepared safely, efficiently, and according to TRMF’s quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, mixing, and portioning food.
• Prepare sauces and other ingredients needed for menu items.
• Assist with cooking menu items using various cooking methods, such as grilling, frying, and sautéing.
• Set up and stock kitchen stations before meal service.
• Follow recipes, portion sizes, and food presentation standards.
• Plate and assemble food items accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor ingredient levels and restock kitchen stations as needed.
• Properly wrap, label, store, and rotate food products.
• Assist with receiving and storing grocery and food deliveries.
• Keep kitchen stations, equipment, utensils, and storage areas clean and organized.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene standards.
• Communicate with other kitchen staff when ingredients or supplies are running low.
• Assist cooks, chefs, and other team members during busy meal periods.
• Perform other kitchen and food service duties as assigned.

Public Area Attendant 

Job Description:

Public Area Attendants will report to the Housekeeping Manager or area business manager. A
Public Area Attendant will a have primary day-to-day responsibility to maintain superior
cleanliness in the public areas of several attractions and businesses, including campgrounds,
to make ready for the public each day.

– Performs general cleaning and sanitizing tasks and services throughout assigned property to
trained standards.
– Follows trained procedures for all chemical use when working.
– Wipes and dusts surfaces and cleans mirrors.
– Vacuums and cleans floors, rugs, furniture, and drapes and windows.
– Sweeps and mops floors.
– Cleans and disinfects bathrooms.
– Picks up and empties trash containers.
– Keeps janitorial vehicle neat and orderly at all times.
– Maintains a neat and orderly janitor’s room; ensures cleaning and maintenance supplies are
stocked, informs manager of ordering needs weekly.
– Assists in spring and fall cleaning of all TRMF housing and motel properties.
– Assist in maintaining and cleaning all TRMF cabins, bathhouses and laundry at the Medora
Campground.
– Reports any needed maintenance items to the manager.
– Completes scheduled tasks in a timely and thorough manner.
– Assists the housekeeping and laundry departments when needed.
– Other job duties as assigned and in accordance with business needs.

Participants must be able to stand for long periods of time.
